Ina Spasova is one of those people who masterfully blend discipline with a healthy dose of humor, professionalism with empathy, and seriousness with a relaxed attitude.
At Sopharma, she is a Regulatory Affairs Expert, but today we present her in a slightly different light – as an ambassador of one of our core values: Teamwork. What her colleagues appreciate most about her work are the dedication, responsibility, and commitment she consistently demonstrates. That’s why her nomination came naturally – because that’s who she is.
Being yourself among many – what does teamwork mean to Ina?
“For me, being a team player means maintaining your integrity among other unique and different people, all striving in the same direction. It’s important to listen, share ideas, and be heard. Ultimately, it’s about sharing a success that isn’t just yours but belongs to everyone”, Ina shares.
She believes teamwork goes beyond professional duties and shows itself in relationships with family and loved ones as well. Smiling, she admits:
„At home, every day is a battle – not for big wins, but to make sure our children are well and everything is okay. There’s not much difference between being a team player at the office and at home – only the final reward is different”.
Success comes with patience, curiosity, and courage
Ina joined our team about two and a half years ago with valuable academic knowledge but without practical experience in regulatory affairs. Since then, she has made significant progress – confidently communicating with agencies, clients, and colleagues, navigating processes with assurance and competence.
“I’m proud that now I don’t just manage on my own, but other colleagues turn to me for expert advice. That’s a big responsibility and a great personal satisfaction”, she admits.
Outside the office: Family comfort, singing, and… Good sleep
After a busy day full of communication and dynamics, Ina enjoys spending time with her loved ones. Her home is her sanctuary where she can fully relax.
“I love to sleep! It’s the most underrated pleasure”, she says with a smile. She admits she doesn’t enjoy cooking but loves savoring good food. Ina also loves singing and confidently claims she can sing – although, as she jokes, “there are still people who say otherwise.”
If work was a movie…
…for Ina, it would be something between Fight Club and Madagascar 3.
“Sometimes we fight challenges, deadlines, and expectations. Sometimes we’re a colorful bunch of unexpected talents and personalities. But in the end, we always succeed together, just like the heroes in the movies”, she explains.
On fear and responsibility
The most serious part of our conversation with Ina comes when we talk about responsibility:
“I’m not afraid to take responsibility. I’m a pharmacist by training and worked in a pharmacy for years. In this profession, you simply don’t have a choice – you’re responsible for people’s health. That builds discipline and a clear awareness that your decisions affect others. I always think carefully before acting, but once I make a decision, I stand behind it and defend it”, she says firmly.
Ina’s story is a reminder that great results come from shared effort and personal accountability. And a little sense of humor never hurts…
